Department of Education

Department of Education and CEPHED has built an excellent relationship in recent years. With the support of Department of Education, CEPHED has conducted nationwide awareness programs. With the support of Department of Education, CEPHED has been able to disseminate its awareness raising IEC materials in different region of the country.

On year 2013-14, CEPHED produced an awareness raising IEC materials (Posters representing the information about lead for school and general public) with the support of Department of Education. Throughout the production of IEC materials, Department of Education provided an much needed technical input to the posters.

On year, 2014, Director General, Department of Education provides an welcome message on CEPHED's research report "National Report: Lead in Household and School dust" with appreciation over CEPHED's awareness raising activities and commitment to support for similar activities in future as well. Time and again, Department of Education has provided an opportunity to share the research outputs on their forum. One of such kind, 30th June 2014, CEPHED was provided with an opportunity to present the paper on Lead in Paint issues and its impact on children's health in program organized by Department of Education infront of representatives of NGOs of Nepal working for child related issues.

Department of Education also supported CEPHED for the dissemination of IEC materials through their regional level programs and invited to share the lead in paint issues. To let public know about the lead in paint issues and collect their recommendation and suggestions, Department of Education made IEC materials (posters) public through their website.
