Nepal Bureau of Standard and Metrology recognized CEPHED as the expertise organization as member of technical committee for the standard formulation in Lead in Paint.

With the support of NBSM, CEPHED jointly organized a stakeholder consultation meeting on fixing standard of lead in Paint dated 25th March, 2013 with the motive to discuss about the lead in paint related issues with the stakeholders and propose the probable lead in paint standard to NBSM

Nepal Bureau of Standard and Metrology (NBSM) and CEPHED closely workout for the standard formulation of Lead in Paint for NS mark. Initially, 9th April, 2012, NBSM and CEPHED had an official interaction program with objective to inform the NBSM officials about lead in paint issues, IPEN's EU-funded Asia Lead Paint Elimination Program and explore the possibility of working together toward standard formulation of lead in paint where Mr. Ram Charitra Sah, Executive Director of Center for Public Health and Environmental Development (CEPHED), participating organization from Nepal to IPEN's EU-funded Asia Lead Paint Elimination project made presentation about the lead in paint issues right from the issues of excessive level of lead in the paints of all brand and shade as found in the two consecutive studies of the CEPHED in the year 2010 and 2011.
